This product is n-2-quinolinyl-4-aminobenzenesulfonamide. The content of c14h12n4o2s should not
be less than 98.0% according to the dry product.
Character:
The product is a light yellow or yellow powder, odorless.It is very slightly soluble in ethanol, almost
insoluble in water or ether, and easily soluble in sodium hydroxide test solution.
Identification:
(1) identification reaction of aromatic first amines (sop-044).
(2) Take this product, add 0.01mol/l sodium hydroxide solution to make a solution containing 5 μ g
per 1ml, and determine it by spectrophotometry (sop-014). In the wavelength range of 230 ~ 350
nm, the maximum absorption is at 252 nm, and the absorbance is about 0.55.
(3) The infrared absorption spectrum of the product should be consistent with that of the control.
Check:
Acidity,Take 2.0g of this product, add 100ml of water, heat at 70 ºC for 5min, cool to room
temperature, filter, take 50ml of filtrate, titrate with sodium hydroxide titrant (0.1mol / L) until pH
value is 7.0. The consumption of sodium hydroxide titrant (0.1mol/l) should not exceed 0.2ml.

Take this product and add 0.1mol/l sodium hydroxide solution to make 25mg solution per 1ml as
the test solution; precisely measure an appropriate amount and dilute it with 0.1mol/l sodium
hydroxide solution to make 0.25mg solution per 1ml as the control solution. According to the test of
thin layer chromatography (ws-024), 1 μ l each of the above two solutions was absorbed,The point
on the same silica gel G thin layer plate, develop with n-butanol-concentrated ammonia (15:3), air
dry, spray with 0.1% p-Dimethylaminobenzaldehyde hydrochloric acid ethanol (1:99) solution for
inspection. If the test solution shows more than one impurity spot, it shall not be deeper than the
main spot of the control solution.
Drying weight loss:
Take this product and dry it at 105 ºC to constant weight. The weight loss should not exceed 1.0%
(sop-003).
Residue of ignition:
Take 1.0g of burning residue and check according to the law (sop-008). The residue should not
exceed 0.1%.
Heavy metals:
The residue left under the item of burning residue shall be inspected according to the law (sop-007,
the second method). The content of heavy metals shall not exceed 20 parts per million.
Content determination:
Take about 0.5g of this product, weigh it accurately, add 20ml of 0.5mol/l sodium hydroxide solution
and 5g of potassium bromide, dissolve it, add 15ml of glycerol and 20ml of sulfuric acid solution (1
→ 2), and titrate with sodium nitrite titrant (0.1mol/l) according to the perpetual stop titration
(sop-006). Each 1ml of sodium nitrite titrant (0.1mol/l) is equivalent to 30.03mg of c14h12n4o2s.

anti sulfonamides . It is used for coccidiosis.
