This product is n - (6-methoxy-4-pyrimidinyl) - 4-aminobenzenesulfonamide. The content of
c11h12n4o3s should not be less than 99.0% according to the dry product.
Properties:
The product is a white or almost white crystalline powder, odorless, almost tasteless, and gradually
dark when exposed to light.It is slightly soluble in acetone, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in
water, and easily soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide test solution.The melting
point (ws-033) of this product is 204 ~ 206 ºC.
Identification:
(1) identification reaction of aromatic first amines (sop-044).
(2) Take about 0.1g of this product, add 3ml of water and 3ml of 0.4% sodium hydroxide solution
respectively, shake to dissolve, filter, take the filtrate, add 1 drop of copper sulfate test solution, that
is to produce yellow-green precipitation (different from sulfa-p-methoxypyrimidine).
(3) The infrared absorption spectrum of the product should be consistent with that of the control.
Check:
Acidity,Take 2.0g of the product, add 100ml of water, shake it in a water bath and heat it for 10min,
cool it immediately, filter it, separate 25ml of the filtrate, add 2 drops of phenolphthalein indicator
solution, and 0.20ml of sodium hydroxide titrant (0.1mol/l), it should be pink.
The clarity and color of the solution:
Take 1.0g of this product, add 5ml of sodium hydroxide test solution and 20ml of water, after
dissolution, the solution should be clear and colorless (sop-8015); if the color is developed,
compare with the Yellow No.3 standard colorimetric solution (sop-009, the first method).It should
not be deeper than that.
Chloride
Take 25ml of the remaining filtrate under the acidity of chloride and check according to the law
(sop-044). Compared with the control solution made of 7.0ml standard sodium chloride solution, it
should not be more concentrated (0.014%).
Drying weight loss:
Take this product and dry it at 105 ºC to constant weight. The weight loss should not exceed 0.5%
(sop-003).
Residue of ignition:
1% (sop-008).
Heavy metal:
Take 0.50g of heavy metal in this product and check according to the law (sop-007, the third
method). The content of heavy metal should not exceed 20 ppm.
Ccontent determination:
Take about 0.50g of this product, weigh it accurately, and titrate with sodium nitrite titrant (0.1mol/l)
according to the perpetual stop titration method (ws-006). Each 1ml of sodium nitrite titrant
(0.1mol/l) is equivalent to 28.03mg of c11h12n4o3s.
Function and use:
Sulfonamides. It is mainly used for infection of sensitive bacteria, Toxoplasma gondii in pigs and
leukocytosis in chickens.
Usage and dosage:
Take orally once, 50 ~ 100mg for the first time, 25 ~ 50mg for the maintenance, twice a day for 3 ~ 5
days
