FT-Oxytetracycline 20% Injection Each ml contains:200mg oxytetracycline FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY Composition Each ml contains : Oxytetracycline Base ...................200mg Excipient .........................................q.s. 1ml DESCRIPTION: FT-Oxytetracycline 20% injection is a broad-spectrum with bacteriostatic action against a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.The bacteriostatic effect is based on the inhibition of the synthesis of bacterial proteins. INDICATIONS: For the treatment of beef cattle,horse,sheep and pigs caused by the Gram-positive and-negative bacteria, Mycoplasma, Leptospirosis, Rickettsial and Chlamydia infections. Some sensitive bacterium for oxytetracycline: streptococcusA, B, C ,F, G and nongrouping type, the incre asing mononuclear Bacillus diphtheriae,Diplococcus intracellularis,Bacillus pertussis,Propionibacterium,peptostreptococcus,Streptococcus bovis,saimonella,Eubacterium,actinomycetes leptospire,Microspironema pallidum. Some instability sensitive bacterium: penicillin sensitive or drug resistance pneumococcus ,Streptococcus, Colibacillus,Proteus mirabilis,Sh,Bacillus comma,Neisseria Gonorrhoeae,Bacillus fusiformis. Some drug resistance bacterium: Staphylococci,Bacillus Canalis Capsulatus,Bacillus proteus,Veillonella,Mycoplasma,Rickett's organism,Legionella,Bacillus fragilis. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: For intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.: Cattle and pig ,sheep and goat 1ml per 20kg b.w.(10mg/kg b.w.) remains active for 3 days.No more than 20ml should be injected at one site in adult cattle(10ml in pigs ,5ml in sheep). No more than 10ml per site in adult swine and 5ml per site in calves,sheep and goats. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: Withdrawal period for meat:28days Withdrawal period for milk : 7 days CAUTION: Do not exceed the above mentioned dosage.Stop medication at least 28 days prior to slaughter of the animals for meat purpose.Milk for treated animals should not be used for human consumption 7days post administration.Keep out of reach of children. SIDE EFFECTS: Do not use the product in ewes producing milk for human consumption.FT-Oxytetracycline 20% injection is not recommended for use in horses,dogs and cats.Do not dilute the FT-Oxytetracycline 20% injection,although oxytetracycline 20% injection is well tolerated ,occasionally a slight reaction of a transient nature has been observed.Not for use in animal suffering from renal or hepatic damage .The use of FT-Oxytetracycline 20% injection during the period of tooth and bone development,including late pregnancy,may lead to discolouration.If concurrent treatment is administrered,use a separate injection site.Wash hands after use .In case of contact with eyes or skin,wash immediately with water as irritation may occur.
